Thinking of selling your own home? Maybe you should read this before proceeding...
"We thought about doing the "For Sale By Owner" thing. But none of us knew anything about selling a home in today's market. Thank goodness The Belcher Team did! They took care of everything and got much more for our home than we expected. They knew the market and what the market would bear. We came out winners because The Belcher Team are winners!!
Selling the "home place" with all of its fond memories was going to be painful, plus we knew absolutely nothing about selling a home. On the recommendation of a friend, we called The Belcher Team.
The Belcher Team met with us and we were impressed-with their business acumen, their knowledge of the real estate market, and something we didn't expect - COMPASSION.
They turned a painful process into a positive experience for us.
Not only did The Belcher Team get more for our home than what we were expecting, they took us through each step of the process with minimal effort on our part.
Jeremy McCommons and The Belcher Team- thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Five Errors to Avoid In Selling Real Estate
Error #1 Hiring a Relative
Trying to make Aunt Marlene happy could make you miserable. Hiring a relative is one of the five most common, serious errors committed by home sellers. Making one of these mistakes could mean your home will sell more slowly and for less money than it otherwise would.
Error #2 The "gotta get" pricing
Falling into the "gotta get" pricing syndrome. The market determines the price for which you're going to sell - not what you need to get out of a deal.
Error #3 Trying to "test the market" in terms of price
Like the "gotta get" sellers, people who try a higher-than-market price with the notion that it can always be lowered hurt themselves. Asking $2000 to $3000 more than the market value could mean the difference between selling quickly at a good price and not selling for awhile.
Error #4 Pricing Again
If IBM stock is trading between 104 and 108, it is no good to insist on 112. Likewise, your home must be priced within the appropriate range.
Error #5 Misrepresenting Your Property
"Sellers have a natural inclination to be positive about their property - and that's perfectly appropriate. On the other hand, misrepresnetation works to the seller's disadvantage," writes Peter G. Miller, the author of several books on real estate.
